13th – 21st February

Have every one of your five senses teased, tantalised and assaulted as you make your way through the interactive Sensation Invasion. You’re invited to follow a specially created trail which will lead you around the grounds, tasting mediaeval gruel, sniffing the Castle’s privy and identifying smells the Ratcatcher has collected from his travels along the way.

You’ll also be invited to Paste the Castle Prisoner:  after being locked up in his cage for 30 days, you’ll get the chance to punish the Castle’s smelliest detainee. Let justice be done; no one should smell that bad!

Come face to face with a host of Castle characters, from the world famous Knight in Shining Armour to the Mad Professor and Maggie the Cook - who will be serving up her gruesome delights are you brave enough to partake?

If that’s not enough to keep you and the kids busy, every day throughout Half Term, catch the Warwick Warriors, who will showcase their weapons arsenal and teach the art of mediaeval battle, or watch the Raising of the Portcullis, where you’ll have to pledge their allegiance to the Lancastrian King Henry before being granted entry.

Meet the Falconer who will showcase the elegance, grace and intelligence of the beautiful birds of prey that call the Castle home.

Warwick favourite, The Castle Dungeon, will be open for business, inviting those with strong stomachs to travel back to the time of the plague and meet some of Warwick’s most horrifying characters. For those who enjoy lighter surroundings, The Princess Tower plays host to enchanting mirrors, magical princesses and a huge dressing up box, so budding little princesses can dress up in royal finery.
