For over 25 years the Melita has won various Stratford upon Avon in bloom awards for its beautiful hanging baskets that decorate the front of the property. However, during the spring and summer months it is the rear garden that makes the Melita such a special place to stay. To relax in the afternoon and evening sunshine is an excellent way to unwind after a busy day sightseeing in Stratford.
The garden is full of interesting plants, shrubs, and trees which have been collected over many years. The garden has been totally transformed since Russell inherited it with the purchase of the Melita.
Divided into several sections, the pathways lead you around the flower beds and lawns enabling the garden and all the planting to be seen close up and from various vantage points. The overall feel and look is of a peaceful English country garden but with many features of Japanese and Chinese influence.
Tables and chairs are provided so that guests may either picnic on the terrace or simply lie back and
enjoy the summer sunshine.
